Koshoji is a Buddhist temple belonging to the Soto sect, located in the historical town of Uchiko, which was once famous for its wax production and trade. Koshoji was built in the second year of Kakitsu (1441). There is a well-known Buddhist statue in a lying down position in the temple grounds.
