Tsuyado are provided as a charity by temples, and should not just be seen as a free alternative to paid lodging. Please leave them as a last resort for pilgrims in trouble; you should not plan your itinerary around tsuyado stays. Read more about them here.
Donations-based pilgrim lodging managed and maintained by a temple down the street, Hosenji. This place is fully equipped with electrical outlets, a desk, a dining area, a toilet, and a space with tatami flooring and bedding.

Johannes ElzeMemberUnfortunately it's not operational anymore. I walked up to temple to ask and they told me that they stopped the services. The toilets next to the building are still functioning. Updated in May 2023
Don WeissExpertThis is a wonderful place to stay, fairly quiet, very comfortable. You need to get food before you get here. (There is a small grocery store about 2 km. before.) On arrival, go up to the temple and ask permission. A donation is welcome. There is a donation tin and a sign-in book (usually) on the table.
