Bench and roof. Right next to a busy road. No water or toilet. Vending machines nearby, down towards Uwajima.

General Description:

This hut is about 47km from Kanjizaiji (T40), along prefectural road 57 where it travels parallel to the JR Yodo line. Raised road-facing walls are designed to minimise road noise, and the lower river-facing walls allow a less impeded view trees and the landscape.

15/10/2019 Comments:

A small hut which would keep the sun and rain off . The two gable wall ends are completely open and the hut is parallel to the valley direction. The most likely wind would be along the valley direction, so the hut would possibly be a bit breezy. Fine in summer, not so nice in colder weather. The roadside lower wall would give a small amount privacy against road traffic. It is 1.5 km north to the Muden rail station with a nearby convenience store and Michi no Eki. There aren’t any facilites to the south. In October 2019, a vending machine was 50m to the south in a small parking area. The vending machine and parking area might attract a small number of drivers to stop for breaks.
